Create a temporary BABS outpost in any zone by adding a dedicated hoverboat landing spot and including “BABS” in the name or description. Whether you have a Fun Zone, PAZ, lot, or hood, you can participate and build anywhere in There.com! This is a perfect opportunity to showcase your creativity and join in the 20th-anniversary festivities. Whether it’s a simple outpost or an elaborate setup, every contribution adds to the fun of celebrating two decades of hoverboat adventures with BABS! Builds are welcome anytime through October 9th, though we’d love to see them by October 1st. You can either transform an existing build or create one just for the celebration. Host a BABS sponsored event. Whether it’s a quest, a one-off event, or your regular event, host between October 2nd through the 9th using the keyword “BABS” to be part of the celebration. Adventure Quest Club Famous Pirate Ships Quest
Join the Adventure Quest Club, where a new quest awaits every week. Each completed quest earns you entry into a random drawing for ThereBux prizes. Plus, as a club member, you’ll accumulate points for every quest you conquer. The more quests you complete, the more rewards you can claim! To embark on the Famous Pirate Ships Quest, head over to the Adventure Quest Clubhouse. There, you’ll find a teleport to the bustling fish market on Pirate Island, where your first clue awaits! Set sail on a thrilling pirate adventure with the Pirate Island Quest, running until Wednesday, October 25th! All brave participants will be entered into a drawing for pirate treasure. This swashbuckling quest will take you on an epic tour of Pirate Island. Board docked pirate ships, explore the mysterious castle, and visit the lively tavern as you hunt for clues. Your journey begins at the Dragon Riders Clubhouse—keep an eye out for the blue present box to start your adventure. Complete the 10-clue quest and unearth the hidden treasure. But beware, this quest is not for the faint-hearted! If you find yourself lost or in need of help, reach out to xxxcometxxx or LadyMisty for guidance. Good luck and may fortune favor the bold!
Cross Country Racing is a weekly event held every Friday. It’s a quest, it’s a race or is it a tour?! Last week’s pirate themed Sea, Sea Arrrr is complete, but you still have a chance to earn a point towards treasure with the CCR Race Point Pirate event. Hunt for treasure in the vehicle of your choice and race against the clock for the best time. Start the race at Bananaphone and finish the race by Wednesday, September 25th to earn a point towards treasure. The event takes the participant on a race around the island of Comet. Join the Future Gin Club for a special Future Pirate Gin event at the Pirate Island Gin lot on Monday, September 23rd at 4:00 PM Pacific /7:00 PM Eastern! There.com for macOS Alpha Test Open for All
Exciting news! There.com has opened the Alpha macOS testing for all users to explore. Please note, we are still in the Alpha test phase so the platform will have many, many bugs and may not work at all. If you have an Apple computer and are running macOS 14 Sonoma you are eligible to help test the Mac version of the virtual world There.com.
Download the Apple TestFlight app in order to access the Alpha client and to provide feedback. Please make sure to use the Apple feedback mechanisms to report crashes and send feedback.
You can access the MacOS Alpha version of There.com here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/sVKtMtCG
During testing if you do crash, you’ll need to email your There.log to Staff at feedback@thereinc.com separately outside of the TestFlight app. Right now, the macOS version is not cool enough to automatically send crash reports. Make sure to include the subject line macOS Crash Report and provide your username in the email. Remember to attach the There.log to your email.
Your There.log is stored in a sandbox. The file can be added to your email as an attachment.
Go to Finder and click on the GO menu item and choose Go to Folder. You can also type Command+Shift+G.
Next, you’ll see a dialog box where you can fill in the folder name. It may already be filled in for you. The sandbox folder name is /Users/username/Library/Containers/com.there.therealpha/. Username will be your Avatar’s name. You can locate There data in the sandbox’s Data/Makena folder.
/Users/username/Library/Containers/com.there.therealpha/Data/Makena
Once you’ve typed in the folder name hit return and the finder should display the Makena folder.
The Makena folder has “There.log” in it along with a folder for your chat logs. Make sure to attach the There.log to your email.
You will need to have a Premium Membership in There.com to test Voice and all of the other perks that come with a Premium account. Upgrade your There Membership here.

The Pirates Ahoy event has kicked off on Friday the 13th, bringing debauchery and daring adventures to the shores of There.com. Set sail to Pirate Island and claim your territory! Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a new recruit, there’s plenty to explore.
Build a giant dock on the coast to park your pirate ship, or venture into the Archipelago, home to five mysterious islands. Here, you can create your own pirate haven—construct a tavern for your crew to gather or erect a formidable castle to stake your claim.
The shores of Pirate Island are lined with fish houses, taverns, and even buried treasure waiting to be discovered. Whether you’re in it for the loot, the camaraderie, or the thrill of the chase, Pirates Ahoy promises a swashbuckling good time.
If it is a bit of a mystery to locate Pirate Island, you can visit the Adventure Quest Club to find a link to the Archipelago. Teleport to Pirate Island and look for a spot to stake your claim. It is helpful to turn on Zone boundary lines so you can see the outline of any neighboring PAZes so you can figure out where to drop your own PAZ to decorate. To turn on boundary lines click Ctrl+Shift+N three times and you should see the yellow outline of surrounding PAZes. You can purchase all different sized PAZes in Shop Central. When you locate the right size PAZ in Shop Central wander over to an open area and take your PAZ out to claim your territory.
