The wait is finally over! After 22 years, Visible Quest Kits are returning to There.com in a special limited-time Auction event. The Phase One Auctions are now live!
This first release features 15 total 1-Week 10-Clue Visible Quest Kits, with three of each quest type available:

Lock Box Quest Kits
Balloon Quest Kits
Journal Book Quest Kits
Runestone Quest Kits
These special Auctions will run for one week and will end on Thursday, July 30th, the exact 22-year anniversary of the day Visible Quest Kits were removed from Shop Central.
Visible Quest Kits are permanently bound to the winning account and cannot be traded, given away, or sold.
How the Auctions Work
Because Visible Quest Kits cannot be sold through the Auction system, each Auction listing features a placeholder Shop Central item. Winning bidders will automatically receive the placeholder item shown in the Auction listing. There Staff will then manually deposit the associated Visible Quest Kit into the winner’s inventory within 24-hours of the Auction ending.
You can only win a Visible Quest Kit through the special Auction listed by There_Quester. If you were to go to Shop Central and buy one of the placeholder items by itself, be aware that you will not receive the Visible Quest Kit. Visible Quest Kits are permanently bound to the winning account and cannot be traded, given away, or sold.

Visible Quest Kits Return After 22 Years!
Twenty-two years ago, Visible Quest Kits quietly disappeared from Shop Central. At the time, Staff and members assumed they would eventually return. But weeks turned into months, months turned into years, and before long an entire generation of Thereians had never even seen a Visible Quest Kit. Today, we’re excited to announce that the wait is finally over! Starting this month, a limited number of Visible Quest Kits will return to the virtual world There.com through a special Auction event.
Back in the early days of There.com, Visible Quest Kits could be earned through the Author skill ladder or purchased in Shop Central. They quickly became a favorite tool for creating scavenger hunts, adventures, community games, and interactive events. On July 30, 2004, Visible Quest Kits were temporarily removed from Shop Central after members discovered ways to overload sectors with excessive clue drops, causing clutter, performance issues, and even sector crashes. An “out of order” bug affecting clue markers also contributed to the decision. That temporary removal lasted… 22 years. Since then, only Invisible Quest Kits have remained available. Members who joined There after July 2004 have never had the opportunity to own a Visible Quest Kit. With the longstanding quest bug now resolved, we’d like to celebrate by making a limited number of Visible Quest Kits available once again.
Limited Special Auction
Rather than permanently returning Visible Quest Kits to Shop Central, we’ll be releasing a limited quantity through a series of special Auctions.
Because Quest Kits themselves cannot be traded or auctioned, each Auction listing will feature a placeholder Shop Central item. Winning bidders will automatically receive the Shop Central item shown in the listing, and There Staff will manually deposit the associated Visible Quest Kit into the winner’s inventory within 24-hours of the Auction ending. You can only win an Invisible Quest Kit through the special Auction listed by There_Quester. If you were to go to Shop Central and buy one of the placeholder items by itself, be aware that you will not receive the Invisible Quest Kit. Visible Quest Kits are permanently bound to the winning account and cannot be traded, given away, or sold.

Please remember that using Quest Kits to harass other members, disrupt events, intentionally grief landmarks or public areas, or purposely overload a sector with excessive clue drops is prohibited. Any Quest Kit used in violation of the Terms of Service or Behavior Guidelines may be permanently removed from your inventory.
Please bid responsibly. Members who attempt to manipulate the Visible Quest Kit Auctions by placing excessively high bids to drive up prices and then cancelling those bids before the Auction ends will be subject to account moderation.

Your journey begins at the Dragon Riders Clubhouse—keep an eye out for the blue present box to start your adventure. Complete the 10-clue quest and unearth the hidden treasure. Cross Country Racing is a weekly event held every Friday. It’s a quest, it’s a race or is it a tour?! Last week’s pirate themed Sea, Sea Arrrr is complete, but you still have a chance to earn a point towards treasure with the CCR Race Point Pirate event. Hunt for treasure in the vehicle of your choice and race against the clock for the best time. Start the race at Bananaphone and finish the race by Wednesday, September 25th to earn a point towards treasure. The event takes the participant on a race around the island of Comet. This year the celebration honors the festival founder and creator, RedStormRizing. The RedWalk Cove neighborhood and the Thereian community will come together during the festival to honor the memory of RedStormRizing and her legendary virtual neighborhood creation, RedWalk Cove.
Nestled off the coast of Comet on a private island, RedWalk Cove is a testament to creativity and harmony, where every nook and cranny whispers of its creator’s boundless imagination. RedStormRizing built the small island community around a secret cove surrounded by sandy shores and grassy high ridges overlooking the ocean. There are over 40 unique builds scattered throughout the island community of RedWalk Cove. It takes a few hours just to thoroughly explore and visit every unique location.
As you wander through the lush landscapes RedStormRizing crafted – with waterfalls cascading into crystal-clear ponds, vibrant flowers swaying in the breeze, and whimsical houses tucked amid the greenery – you’ll discover her unmistakable touch, often accompanied by the playful presence of the abomination known as Keith scattered throughout. The mystical creature escaped the Circus of Doctor Seven and invaded the island of RedWalk Cove. Keith adapted to the terrain and weather rather quickly and soon multiplied.

Final Gathering: This year marks the 7th anniversary of RedWalk’s Cove. Come together with friends for the end of the Free Spirit Festival. April 20th is the final day the RedWalk Cove neighborhood will be in operation and around for members to explore and enjoy. The neighborhood is retiring from operation with the passing of RedStormRizing. Quiet dice rolls, conversation, dancing, music and more will be happening during the final goodbye to RedWalk Cove and its founder.

Murder Mystery In There.com
The residents of Fantasy Island recently made a grizzly discovery over at Minxyx’s Place. Upon entering the Saloon, they spotted the body of woman dressed in a hospital gown dangling by a noose from the barn rafters. The woman was a mental patient who had escaped from the hospital. At first glance the authorities presumed it was an open and shut case of suicide, but on closer inspection it was clear that something far more sinister had occurred.
Can you read the suicide note the escaped patient left behind and follow the clues throughout the Fantasy Island Neighborhood to solve the murder mystery? Put your sleuth skills to the test and figure out this case of Whodunnit!

Haunted Big Easy Island
In celebration of Halloween, Superdale has created the mother of all haunted houses in There! The annual event held at Big Easy Island just seems to get bigger and better with every season.
Make sure to bring a friend or two on your journey throughout the never-ending Haunted House. If you get lost, remember there is safety in numbers. Start your tour at the Haunted Big Easy Island. As you cross the bridge over the blood bayou you will find a book of scary stories. Read on about the terrible things that happened to a little old lady. Begin your journey through the house of horror and answer clues to a haunted quest. The quest runs throughout the endless rooms decorated with corpses, headstones, creepy crawlers, vampires and things that go bump in the night.
Superdale has really outdone himself this year! There are over 330 drops that have gone into creating the haunted masterpiece. We spoke with Superdale and he had mentioned that he had over 72 hours of planning and building to create the haunted house for this year. There are already plans in the works for next year’s build.
It is really a horrific sight to see and one you won’t want to miss! You can catch one of the Haunted Quests or drop by the Haunted Big Easy Island anytime day or night to take a tour of the biggest haunted house in There.
St. Patrick’s Day Quest in There
Have you ever been on a quest in There before? It’s tons of fun and a great way to explore the islands in our virtual world. If you are new to questing, try your luck completing the St. Patrick’s Day Quest hosted by Ginxt going on now till the end of March.
Everyone who participates in the quest will win a special St. Patricks Day prize! There will also be a drawing for additional vehicle prizes to be held on March 16th.
