The virtual world There.com is excited announce the Grand Prize Winner and Runner-Up of this year’s Spring Garden Contest!
The competition was fierce, with so many incredible virtual garden entries showcasing creativity, beauty, and meticulous design. Our talented gardeners truly went all out in There.com, crafting breathtaking landscapes that are a delight to explore. Each garden is a masterpiece, where every flower, tree, and plant were placed with care and precision, creating stunning displays of virtual nature. We encourage everyone to take a tour and admire these wonderful creations!
To ensure a fair selection, each participant’s name was placed on a spinning wheel, the winners were chosen by the name the spin landed on. 1st spin was for the Grand Prize and the 2nd spin was for Runner-Up. Every entry turned in this year was amazing, with flowers, trees, and plants carefully placed to create beautiful and unique designs. We’re glad this contest was a game of chance because if we had to vote for the winners, it would be a very difficult decision.

A big congratulations to Bawble & Gibbletz for winning the Grand Prize in this year’s Spring Garden Contest! Their breathtaking high in the sky Floater Garden in the Mahalo Fantasy Forest Neighborhood wowed us all with its creativity and stunning design. The Lot owner has earned a free month of rent. 2025 Spring Garden Contest Runner Up
Congratulations to our Runner-Up Susanszy for her enchanting garden, Pixel Grove located in the Pixel Hollow Neighborhood! This magical space is a true work of art, filled with charm and wonder. Spring is in the air, and the Thereian community is ready to celebrate with the Pixel Petal & Plant Festival! From March 19th through the 31st, join us in There.com for a vibrant, fun-filled festival dedicated to virtual gardening. Whether you want to plant colorful flowers, ferns, vineyards, fruit orchards, or even a victory garden, this event is the perfect opportunity to flex your green thumb in the digital world.

The festival is packed with engaging activities for everyone. Enjoy garden tours, play garden gin, participate in cross-country racing, test your luck at BINGO, join flotillas, and challenge yourself with trivia. Win garden-themed prizes and Therebucks in a variety of fun competitions.
Spring Garden Contest

Join your host LadyMisty for a weekly card game of gin during the Pixel Petal & Plant Festival. There is a dice roll for doubles if you lose and a separate dice roll celebrating Spring! This is a Gin combined event.

Join Susanszy and the Bingo Maniacs Club for a garden-themed BINGO night, sponsored by Mahalo Village. Remember to grab your BINGO card beforehand and join the Bingo Maniacs group IM window to hear the numbers being called.

Meet at Dolores Island for a fun evening of cards among the flowers. Bring a partner and test your skills in a friendly round of Gin.
March 26th, 6:00 pm Pacific – BABS Ladybug Picnic
Hop on the back of a ladybug and fly through the gardens of There during the Bay Area Boat System’s Ladybug Picnic Floatila. Captain your own ship or hitch a ride with friends. Meet the BABS group at the Zona Island BABS Tower. Keep in touch with fellow participants by joining the BABS IM window.
March 31st, 6:00 PM Pacific – Pixel Garden BINGO

2025 Spring Garden Contest
All residents of There.com are invited to participate in the Spring Garden Contest to showcase their gardening skills. Members who enter the contest will design, build and create a virtual garden experience for the Thereian community to explore. Gardeners are welcome to use their imagination and creativity to plant all types of gardens. Build your garden from scratch or work on adding the final touches to an existing garden. Explore the garden Auctions to search for this season’s newest garden designs and a nursery of virtual flowers, plants, shrubs, trees and more to plant with.
Design a vibrant flower garden with an assortment of colorful blooms such as roses, tulips, daisies and sunflowers. Include decorative elements like garden benches, bird baths and statues to add ambiance.
Transform your virtual space into a lush jungle paradise with towering palm trees, dense foliage and exotic flowers. Integrate water features like waterfalls, ponds and lily pads. Populate the jungle with wildlife like monkeys, parrots and butterflies to bring the virtual environment to life.
Construct a tranquil rock garden featuring a variety of ornamental rocks and boulders. Introduce elements like Japanese lanterns, bamboo or bonsai trees for a Zen like aesthetic.
Whether you choose to cultivate a victory garden, tulip field, hemp farm or alternative crystal garden, let your imagination flourish and showcase your gardening skills in the There.com Spring Garden Contest!
Plant your garden on a small plot of land or over a sprawling estate, all are welcome to participate. Enter your garden into the contest for a chance at winning the Garden Grand Prize or the runner up prize for Green Thumb Gardner. To enter, simply plant your garden in the virtual world There.com and email the subject line “Garden Contest” to feedback@thereinc.com. Include your Avatar name and a link or the doid to your garden in your email entry. The garden submission deadline is Saturday, March 29th at 6:00 pm Pacific. As a token of appreciation, every participating gardener will receive a special garden gift and will be sent an entry confirmation email.
The Garden Grand Prize and the Green Thumb Gardener Prize will be determined by luck of the draw. Garden entries will be assigned a number in order of when their garden entry email was received. Once all of the contest applications have been received, a winning number will be chosen from a random number generator. The winner of the grand prize will receive a month of free rent plus a special garden gift. The runner up winner will receive bragging rights and a special garden gift.

2023 Pupcation Photo Challenge
Take your virtual dog on a fun adventure vacation to different island locations in There.com. After months of being cooped up at home, your puppy deserves to be able to sniff and explore new places. Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer in the Virtual World There and take your fur baby on a well-deserved pupcation!
Enter the Pupcation Photo Contest with your puppy during the Dog Days of Summer event August 19th through the 26th. Make sure to take lots of photos of your travels with your canine companion. Submit pics of your pup’s adventures in There for a chance to win a rare breed of dog not currently available in the There Pet Store.
Submit your pupcation photo(s) in There from Saturday, August 19th – Saturday, August 26th. Pawticipants have until 8:30 pm Pacific/11:30 pm Eastern on August 26th to submit photos. To enter the photo contest, email the following information to Feedback@thereinc.com.

- Enter your Avatar’s name in the body of the email.
- You can attach up to 5 pupcation photos to your entry.
- It’s helpful if you can name your photo file names with your Avatar name and the # of your entry. Example: username_1, username_2, username_3 and so on…
You can submit up to five entries for the Pupcation Photo Contest. Each photo you turn in earns you an entry number. At the end of the submission period a winning number will be pulled from a random number generator. The grand prize winner, staff pic winner and contest participants do not need to be present at the Top Dog Awards to collect prizes. Dog treats, the grand prize and staff pick prize will be awarded within 72 hours after the end of the Top Dog Awards ceremony. Prizes will automatically be added to participants inventories.
All photo entries submitted will be turned into There postcards and posted to the There Blog and official There Facebook page over the course of the next several weeks. You do not need to transform your photo into a postcard, we will do it for you. If your doggy refuses to sit still for photos, you can use any photo editing program to create your ideal memory book of your pupcation travels.

All pupcation photo entries will be assigned numbers to be picked at random, so your chances of winning the photo challenge are based on luck and not your photography skills. The point is to get out of the house with your precious pup and have fun travelling the many island locations in the Virtual World There.

PAW-Parazzi Photo Contest Awards
Thanks to all of our PAW-Parazzi Photo Contest participants who captured photos of their puppies during the Dog Days of Summer event. The PAW-Parazzi Photo Contest winners will be announced at the Puppy Photographer Party on Thursday, July 30th. The party and award ceremony will be held at the Paiz Puppy Park in the Virtual World There. Participants and winners do not need to be present at the party to collect their gifts and prizes.

The PAW-Parazzi photo contest allowed for a total of ten entries per participant. Each entry was reviewed by Staff and added to one of the ten contest categories. Staff then reviewed each category and picked the winning photographer. The winner of each category will be called up at the Puppy Photographer Party on Thursday to roll the dice for a chance at the grand prize. The photographer with the highest dice roll will win a rare dog of their choice. One of our photographers may have won more than one category and they will be given a chance to roll the dice for each category they place in.

Pupcation Postcard Awards
Thanks to all of our participants and their dogs who entered the Pupcation Postcard Photo Challenge. We received so many great photos of dogs and their owners playing and having fun throughout the different island locations in There. We are looking forward to to releasing the postcard entries a few at a time to the official There Facebook page over the next several weeks. Keep an eye out for all of the fantastic virtual vacation photos. We hope you’ll give your favorite pupcation postcards a like or a share.
The Pupcation Postcard Challenge winners will be announced at the Puppy Photographer Party on Thursday, July 30th. Top Dog Puppy Pal Props will be given out to the Grand Prize, 1st runner-up, 2nd and 3rd place winners at the party. If you are unable to attend the event we will gift/deposit the prizes to your Avatar account.
It has been great to see so many Thereians out exploring the islands with their dogs. The Pupcation Postcard Challenge created so many cute puppy pics and we can’t wait to share the best postcards to our Facebook page over the next several weeks.

Virtual Gardening in There
The hillsides, valleys and waterways of the virtual world There.com are blooming with flowers and plants during the Spring Garden Festival. Thereians have planted victory gardens, flower beds, tropical flora, cannabis farms, garden hideaways and more during the month-long festival.
Take a self-guided tour of the 2020 Garden Decorating Contest entries. Click on the hyperlink for the garden details page and then click visit to teleport while you are logged into the 3-D world There to visit the virtual gardens.
All of the contestants received a special garden gift for planting a garden this year. The gardeners gathered at the Garden Tea Party event on Tuesday to roll the dice for the garden grand prize. It was a tie-breaker event with two contestants rolling the same high number. Congratulations to Megs_Happy for winning the highest score and taking home the Spring Garden Festival commemorative t-shirt and buggy along with a one-drop garden to add to her already stunning and beautiful garden contest entry.
Spring Garden Contest
The Spring Garden Festival is in full bloom in the virtual world There.com. We invite all Thereians who plant a garden this year to enter the 2020 Spring Garden Contest. We have a special garden gift for all participating gardeners and there will be a garden grand prize for a lucky dice-roll winner.
Gardens come in all shapes and sizes. Any size Lot, PAZ or Neighborhood is welcome to enter the Spring Garden Contest. To enter the contest, plant your virtual garden in There and then email the subject line “Garden Contest” to feedback@thereinc.com and include your Avatar name along with a link to your garden. Participants have until Sunday, May 17th at 6:00 PM Pacific to submit their garden entries. A special garden gift and entry confirmation email will be sent to all gardeners.
On Tuesday, May 19th dress in your finest fashion for a fancy Garden Tea Party celebrating the Spring Garden Contest winner. A dice-roll will be held at the beginning of the event for all gardeners who participated the contest. The gardener with the highest number rolled will win the garden grand prize. After the dice-roll and tea time, we will embark on a tour of the garden entries. Sign up for the Garden Tea party starting at 5:00 PM Pacific on May 19th. Gardeners must be present at the dice-roll for a chance to win the grand prize.
If you have not planted your virtual garden in There yet, search Garden Auctions for items like flowers, plants and trees to get an idea of what kind of garden you’d be interested in growing. Designers are adding new flora and gardening tools every week during the Spring Garden Festival.
As an additional bonus for submitting an entry to the Spring Garden Contest, the Garden Committee will be keeping an eye out for special themed gardens. If your garden entry is one of the Spring Garden Festival weekly themes you may be awarded a special garden trophy by the Garden Committee. There will be a different garden theme for each week in the month of May during the festival. Week one will feature flower gardens. Trees, forests and jungles will take the spotlight for the second week. Vegetable gardens will be celebrated in week three and the last week of May will feature fruit, orchards and vineyards.
Gardening in the real-world can be an outlet for people stuck at home during the COVID-19 crisis. For those folks who cannot escape outside and dig their hands in the earth, the virtual world There offers a place for people to garden, relax and take their mind off things. Join us during the Spring Garden Festival in the month of May to celebrate virtual gardens in There.
