2023 Pupcation Photo Challenge
Take your virtual dog on a fun adventure vacation to different island locations in There.com. After months of being cooped up at home, your puppy deserves to be able to sniff and explore new places. Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer in the Virtual World There and take your fur baby on a well-deserved pupcation!
Enter the Pupcation Photo Contest with your puppy during the Dog Days of Summer event August 19th through the 26th. Make sure to take lots of photos of your travels with your canine companion. Submit pics of your pup’s adventures in There for a chance to win a rare breed of dog not currently available in the There Pet Store.
Submit your pupcation photo(s) in There from Saturday, August 19th – Saturday, August 26th. Pawticipants have until 8:30 pm Pacific/11:30 pm Eastern on August 26th to submit photos. To enter the photo contest, email the following information to Feedback@thereinc.com.
- Subject Line: Pupcation Photos
- Enter your Avatar’s name in the body of the email.
- You can attach up to 5 pupcation photos to your entry.
- It’s helpful if you can name your photo file names with your Avatar name and the # of your entry. Example: username_1, username_2, username_3 and so on…
You can submit up to five entries for the Pupcation Photo Contest. Each photo you turn in earns you an entry number. At the end of the submission period a winning number will be pulled from a random number generator. The grand prize winner will be announced at the Top Dog Awards on Sunday, August 27th at 12:00 pm Pacific/3:00 pm Eastern at the Tiki Dog Stage. There will also be a special surprise gift for There staff’s favorite pupcation pic. Every dog owner that submits a pupcation photo will receive a free dog treat to give to their trusty canine companion.
The grand prize winner, staff pic winner and contest participants do not need to be present at the Top Dog Awards to collect prizes. Dog treats, the grand prize and staff pick prize will be awarded within 72 hours after the end of the Top Dog Awards ceremony. Prizes will automatically be added to participants inventories.
All photo entries submitted will be turned into There postcards and posted to the There Blog and official There Facebook page over the course of the next several weeks. You do not need to transform your photo into a postcard, we will do it for you. If your doggy refuses to sit still for photos, you can use any photo editing program to create your ideal memory book of your pupcation travels.
Pupcation Photo Examples
You do not need to know how to use photo capturing software to take good photos of your dog. You can easily use the built in There Camera to capture the magic. On your toolbar go to There>ThereCam>Take Photo Now to snap a pic of your pup.
It’s also okay if you do not know how to use a photo editing program to help you get the perfect shot. All pupcation photo entries will be assigned numbers to be picked at random, so your chances of winning the photo challenge are based on luck and not your photography skills. The point is to get out of the house with your precious pup and have fun travelling the many island locations in the Virtual World There.

Camp-A-Palooza 2023
Kick off the summer season in There with Camp-A-Palooza! Join new and old friends for ghost stories, sing-a-longs around the campfire and leisurely hikes through the woods. The event runs July 2nd – 22nd.
Camp-A-Palooza is three weeklong adventure in the virtual world There.com. Campers hike to new campsites each week and build their own campground with neighbors. Campers have the opportunity to earn badges during Camp-A-Palooza by actively engaging in various aspects of the event. By setting up creative and inviting campsites, campers can earn badges that recognize their flair for design. Hosting camp activities such as games, workshops or storytelling around the campfire can earn a camper their leadership badge. If a camper proves photographic evidence of Bigfoot they can earn their quest badge. The badges serve as tokens of celebration for campers throughout the Camp-A-Palooza event. Make sure to earn your badges!
The annual camping trip in There starts July 2nd! Do you have your gear packed and ready to go? Make sure you are properly prepared to survive the great outdoors in There. You can purchase camping supplies in the Auctions if you need a tent, sleeping bag, stove or cooler to take with you.
The sinister circus is in town!
The mysterious Doctor Seven and his Sinister Circus of sideshow freaks and killer clowns has rolled into town. Step right up to the virtual world of There and grab your tickets for the weeklong event. Doctor Seven and his minions have many sinister events lined up for your enjoyment.
The Sinister Circus kicks off on Saturday, June 24th and runs till June 30th. Search the keyword sinister to locate all of the activities planned under the big top on the Activities Page. Sign up for Doctor Seven’s mysterious sideshow quest, sinister spades, dragon rider’s circus gin, under the big top hoverpack race, sinister circus flying monkeys, sideshow spades, sinister circus gin, sinister circus floatilla, sinister circus bingo, sinister circus cross country racing and more!

Magical Kingdom – Unleashed!
Here ye, here ye! The Thereian community is celebrating Magical Kingdom – Unleashed in the virtual world There.com May 12th through May 31st. It’s a mashup event of all of your favorite fairytales and storybook characters. Search the keyword Magical Kingdom on the Activities Page to find special events. Sign up for trivia, cross country racing, bay area boat system tours and much more! Magical Kingdom events are being added daily so check back during the week.
Choose from many different original designs listed in Auctions to decorate your home during the Magical Kingdom – Unleashed event. Build a castle or a fairytale cottage and host a tour of your storybook location.

There Games Team Lots
Connect with other team members during There Games at the Team Lots located in the Winter Games Village on Frosty Island. There are sixteen Lots for each different nametag team color. Help decorate your team Lot by setting an event and dropping decorations any time before the There Games start on February 19th. Schedule team event meetings at your team’s Lot during There Games to strategize and connect with other members. Sign up for your nametag team club to be able to easily contact other members on your team.

How can I join a team for There Games?
Congratulations, you are already part of a team! There are sixteen There Games teams based on the sixteen avatar nametag colors. The nametag is the colored bar over your avatar’s head where your username is displayed. Everyone has a nametag color that is randomly generated when you join There.com.
What if I can’t figure out what my nametag color is?
If you are not sure what your nametag color is, it’s easy to find out. Just head over to the Winter Games Welcome Center and find one of the handy nametag signs.
When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your nametag is. Once you know your nametag color, find your team club listed here. Joining your team’s club is a great way to meet people, make new friends and keep up to date with what’s going on.
Do I have to join my nametag team’s club to participate in There Games?
While joining your team’s club is a great way to connect with your fellow teammates, it is not required. You can still go to There Games Events and earn points for your team. The event Hosts will be able to see which team you belong to by (you guessed it!) looking at your nametag.
Can I change my nametag color?
Yes, you can change your nametag color here. However, you can’t change your nametag color during There Games. There are specific blackout dates that you will not be able to change nametag color, February 5th through March 14th. You can change your nametag color any time before or after the blackout dates. There will be a charge of 36,000T to change your nametag color.
2023 Winter There Games
There Winter Games (TWG) is a huge 10-day series of competitive events in There that run from February 19th – 28th. Everyone is invited to play in this fun and friendly competition. Participants earn points for their team, and the team with the most points at the end takes home the gold medal! Events happen at all hours of the day and range from vehicle races to card games to quests and so much more. Whatever your interests are, you’re likely to find activities to enjoy.

Everyone is invited to play and is already part of a team. The color of your name tag will tell you which team you’re on. There are 16 name tag colors. If you aren’t quite sure where you belong, it’s easy to find out. Just head over to the Winter Games Welcome Center and use the handy name tag sign. When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your name tag is and also give you a link to join your team! This is a great way to meet people and make new friends.
