Spring Garden Festival
April showers bring May flowers. During the month of May, the Thereian community will celebrate virtual gardening. Grow your own flowers, ferns, vineyards, fruit orchards and victory gardens in There.com during the Spring Garden Festival.

Enjoy garden tours, a fashion show, games, quests, a decorating contest, real-world gardening education and more. Win spring prizes at some of the different garden parties and events throughout the month of May.
The community will be growing all different types of gardens in There during the Spring Garden Festival. Weekly garden themes will start on Friday, May 1st. Week one will feature flowers and ferns. Trees, forests and jungles will take the spotlight for week two. Victory gardens are making a comeback and will be celebrated in week three. The fourth and final week will be dedicated to fruit, orchards and vineyards.




You can plant your virtual garden almost anywhere in There. If you are looking for dirt to till, there are plots of land available to cultivate at the There Community Garden. All new tenants who plant a garden during the month of May will be entered into a dice roll for one month worth of free rent in the Community Gardens. Join the There Community Gardens Club to rent a virtual garden plot.
Keep an eye out for upcoming details about the Spring Garden Decorating Contest in There during the month of May. All gardeners will receive a garden gift for participating in the decorating contest and four themed gardens will earn a special 2020 Spring Garden Contest trophy.
You don’t have to have an actual green thumb to grow a garden in the Virtual World There. Vegetation magically exists without water and thrives from round the clock artificial sunlight. Search the Auctions for the latest garden goods and plant your own virtual garden in There.
Find Friends in There
When you create a new member account in the Virtual World There.com your Avatar will spawn on the Welcome Walkway. The WW is a special new member area where you figure out how to move your avatar, learn to emote and communicate by text chat with new member helpers called Phoenix Stars. After you’ve got the basics down, board the There blimp at the end of the walkway to travel over to the the new member arrival area called Zona Island. Thereians like to play Paintball on Zona and meet up with new and returning members.
There is a great big world with several Islands and lots of wide-open virtual space. People teleport and travel by vehicle to explore the Virtual World and discover thriving Island communities. It’s good to know when and where to find friends in There when you’re looking socialize online. The best way to locate other members in There is by signing up for daily scheduled Events and exploring Neighborhood hangouts.
You can check the latest schedule of events on the Activities Page. On your toolbar go to Activities>Browse Activities. Find an event that sounds fun and click on the link for details. Scroll down to the bottom of the Event page and click Sign Up. You will be sent a Theremail notifying you of the start of the event. If you are logged into the 3-D Virtual World at the beginning of a scheduled activity, you’ll receive a pop-up message that the event has started with a button to teleport.
Activities happen in There 24/7 365 days a year including holidays. The majority of events will have a Host who will welcome you and provide information about the scheduled activity. Sometimes there are self-running events on the schedule like Quests and Tours that you can do at your own pace. There are a few time zones that see higher traffic from our community. Well-attended recurring weekly events happen on weeknights between 4:00 and 10:00 PM Pacific time and throughout the day and night on the weekends. Browse the Activities page for today’s events and sign up to meet new people at fun gatherings like parties, card games, vehicle races, paintball, virtual tours, socials and much more. You can also join the Events Invite Club to receive invitations to popular events. To join the Events Invite Club on your toolbar go to People>Find A Group>Search “Events Invite List” click Join Now.
Many of our members enjoy building and decorating their virtual dream homes in There. You can find communities of people living and playing in Neighborhood Zones. There are all different types of Neighborhoods to explore and meet new people at. Go on a self-guided tour to check out all of the themed communities. You might run into your future neighbors along the way. Open the Places page to find a list of Neighborhoods to tour. On your toolbar go to Places, scroll down to the Information section on the right and click on View All NH Zones. Find a place that looks interesting and teleport to meet new friends.

Event Host Support – Theme Planning Meetings

The Virtual World There.com is a social lifeline for people around the globe during this time of real-world self-distancing. A wave of new members and returning legacy avatars are logging into There and using the platform to connect in a 3-D environment with friends and family.
The easiest way to find people in There and make new friends online is to sign up for Events. Event Hosts schedule fun activities like parties, game shows, cards, buggy racing, paintball all throughout the day for the community to enjoy. Think of Event Hosts like Recreational Activity Coordinators in There. They come up with creative and fun ways for Thereians to socialize in our Virtual World.
If you consider yourself a friendly and outgoing individual who likes to bring people together, you’d make a perfect Event Host in There! Help coordinate online entertainment and social gatherings by scheduling activities in our beautiful 3-D world.
Every Monday night a group of Event Hosts gather at the Theme Planning Meeting to discuss upcoming event themes and brainstorm new ideas for future events. In addition to daily and weekly events, special events are planned for holidays, the seasons and fun annual themes. Virtual Camping Caravan Explores There

Feeling restless stuck at home? Join the virtual camping caravan in There.com and island hop around the 3-D environment with fellow campers over the next three weeks. Have fun exploring the terrain, meeting new campers and enjoying caravan themed events. The community will gather and depart to the first campsite on March 24th. Travel with the caravan each week in the Virtual World of There until April 14th.
The Thereian Community has several online gatherings planned during the virtual camping trip. Sign up for horse races, dog races, dice games, board games, campfire stories, quests and more. Social gatherings are held all throughout the day during the caravan event.
Each Tuesday the community will join the caravan and travel to a new campsite. Claim your site and pitch a tent or drop your trailer in a PortaZone (PAZ). Build a fire, decorate your campsite and invite your friends over for a fireside chat and some virtual s’mores.
Don’t miss the community gathering and caravan departure to the first campsite scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 PM PDT and 10:00 PM EST. If you are late in joining the caravan and want to catch up to the group, join the Events Invite Club IM and ask the Event Host for a summons to meet up with fellow travelers.

St. Patrick’s Day Events in There.com

Feeling lucky?! Even if you don’t have any Irish in you, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with shamrock shenanigans in the virtual world There.com. Hang out with friends at St. Patty’s Day events March 16th and 17th.
There will be green beer flowing at the Monday night BABS: St. Patrick’s Flight. Pick out your fliest green outfit for this event or take your chances of getting pinched. Pilot your own hoverboat or take a seat for a relaxing ride with one of the Bay Area Boat Systems captains. Starting at 10:00 PM Eastern and 7:00 PM Pacific Monday, March 16th. If you show up late, join the BABS IM for a summon to the St. Patrick’s Day flotilla. BABS Flights are a weekly event in There.com happening every Monday. Join the Bay Area Boat Systems Club for invites to future events.
Grab a buggy or TUV for the St. Patrick’s Day Bash to be held on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 PM Eastern/ 8:00 PM Pacific. Meet your friends at Flamingo Bay and crash your vehicle into mayhem at this friendly bumper buggy event. Prizes available for the last lucky leprechaun standing.
Want to play some cards?! Come out to RobbyBoy’s St. Patrick’s Gin event on Tuesday, March 17th 7:30 PM Eastern and 4:30 PM Pacific. Make sure to show up on time! The doors close 10 minutes after the start of the event and you must be seated at a card table. The winner of this green card event will receive 5,000 Tbux and the runner up will receive 3,000 Tbux. Play RobbyBoy cards every Tuesday and earn points towards monthly Gin United prizes.

There Winter Games (TWG) is a huge 10-day series of competitive events in There that run from February 21st through March 1st. Everyone is invited to play in this fun and friendly competition. Participants earn points for their team, and the team with the most points at the end takes home the gold medal! Events happen at all hours of the day and range from vehicle races to card games to quests and so much more. Whatever your interests are, you’re likely to find activities to enjoy.

Everyone is invited to play and is already part of a team. The color of your name tag will tell you which team you’re on. There are 16 name tag colors. If you aren’t quite sure where you belong, it’s easy to find out. Just head over to the Winter Games Welcome Center and use the handy name tag sign. When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your name tag is and also give you a link to join your team! This is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

Looking to meet people and make new friends? There are all kinds of teams, leagues, Neighborhood groups and social clubs in There for you to join! Get a flavor for the types of clubs in There at the Club Fair going on now at the There Fairgrounds.
Interested in joining a club in the virtual world There? Create your very own avatar here. Once you’re logged onto There, teleport over to the Club Fair at the There Fairgrounds. Travel the walkways around the Fairgrounds and visit the different types of clubs There has to offer. You’ll find signs, brochures and information on each club. Check the club booths for upcoming events where you can meet and interact with other club members.
Stop by the Fairgrounds and take a tour of the Clubs on display. Challenge yourself to sign up for at least three new Clubs in There.

Do you have a Club in There that you would like to recruit more members to? Get help promoting your Club at the Club Fair happening at the There Fairgrounds January 20th-26th.
Head over to the There Fairgrounds and pick out a booth (Lot) for your Club. There are several sizes to choose from. Once you find one that will work, join the There Fairgrounds Development Club in order to rent a booth. Once you have rented the booth, you can decorate it to promote your Club.
Don’t forget to leave a sign or brochure in the booth so that interested people can locate a link to your Club. Schedule and hold events from your booth during the Club Fair to attract more members.
