Dog Days of Summer

Virtual dogs are an avatar’s best friend! Whether you prefer big dogs or little dogs, you can take your pick of the litter and adopt a labrador or dachshund from the Pet Store. Shop for special dog treats that will teach your old dog new tricks.
Virtual dogs are a lot of fun and good company. You can play with other people’s dogs or have your own. Dogs in There, are like their real-world counterparts and are by nature friendly and playful. Move your cursour over a dog to pet them. You can feed dogs treats and they will have special reactions. Train your dog by teaching them tricks and giving commands.

The best way to skill up your dog handler skill is to attend special dog events and make sure to pet dogs, toss treats and practice dog commands with your fur baby. Camp-A-Palooza 2023
Kick off the summer season in There with Camp-A-Palooza! Join new and old friends for ghost stories, sing-a-longs around the campfire and leisurely hikes through the woods. The event runs July 2nd – 22nd.
Camp-A-Palooza is three weeklong adventure in the virtual world There.com. Campers hike to new campsites each week and build their own campground with neighbors. The adventure features many activities and events with a special quest to find the elusive Bigfoot. Get all of the details of Camp-A-Palooza at the official 2023 camping website.

Campers have the opportunity to earn badges during Camp-A-Palooza by actively engaging in various aspects of the event. By setting up creative and inviting campsites, campers can earn badges that recognize their flair for design. Hosting camp activities such as games, workshops or storytelling around the campfire can earn a camper their leadership badge. If a camper proves photographic evidence of Bigfoot they can earn their quest badge. The badges serve as tokens of celebration for campers throughout the Camp-A-Palooza event. Make sure to earn your badges!
The annual camping trip in There starts July 2nd! Do you have your gear packed and ready to go? Make sure you are properly prepared to survive the great outdoors in There. You can purchase camping supplies in the Auctions if you need a tent, sleeping bag, stove or cooler to take with you.
The sinister circus is in town!
The mysterious Doctor Seven and his Sinister Circus of sideshow freaks and killer clowns has rolled into town. Step right up to the virtual world of There and grab your tickets for the weeklong event. Doctor Seven and his minions have many sinister events lined up for your enjoyment.
The Sinister Circus kicks off on Saturday, June 24th and runs till June 30th. Search the keyword sinister to locate all of the activities planned under the big top on the Activities Page. Sign up for Doctor Seven’s mysterious sideshow quest, sinister spades, dragon rider’s circus gin, under the big top hoverpack race, sinister circus flying monkeys, sideshow spades, sinister circus gin, sinister circus floatilla, sinister circus bingo, sinister circus cross country racing and more!
Many sinister circus events call for killer clown and sideshow freak costumes. Shop the latest clothing designs in the Auctions for men and women along with special props. Looking for a clown nose or wig? Shop Central has all of the latest clown accessories.
Host your own Sinister Circus event! There are many big top tents and circus themed decorations in the Auctions. There are two available open hosting Lots to set up your event in the Miracle Pictures Studios neighborhood.
There’s No Place Like Home
Are you looking for your own place to kick back and relax with your friends in the virtual world There? Need a home away from home where distant friends and relatives can come over to visit and catch up? Set up your own virtual pad in There with one of the many different styles of ThereHouses to choose from.
ThereHouses are pre-fabricated homes created by There with a variety of styles to choose from. They are pre-placed stationary homes that cannot be moved to other locations in-world. Rent is taken from the holder of the deed automatically every thirty days. There Rental Homes are available on the following islands; Caldera, Motu Motu, Ootay and Tyr.
There Rental Homes allow interior decorating only, which means there is not outside yard available for decorating. If you would like to decorate the outside of your home you can purchase a PAZ and drop it outside of your home in order to add some patio pieces and flora and fauna. You may change the interior walls, floor, door, ceiling, windows and hearth decorations in addition to the 40 drops (Small ThereHouse) or 50 drops (Large ThereHouse) you can use for placing furniture and other items within the home.
Let your personality shine through your interior design! Shop for furniture, indoor plants and knick-knacks for your new home. Add your personal touch with items from Shop Central and the Auctions.
Transform the interior of your home by changing the walls, ceiling, floor, panels, hearth and windows. You can purchase these items in the Home Improvement category in Shop Central or in Auctions. Home Improvement items are custom made just for ThereHouses.
You can find an available ThereHouse to rent on the Places Search Page. The Places Search page provides a list of houses that are not currently rented. If you purchase a deed directly from There via the housing listings on the Places Search page the thirty day rental cycle starts the day you purchase the deed.
On your toolbar go to Places>Find a Place>Search Listings. Check the box “Include only places you can rent”. Click on the House tab to find available houses. You can narrow your search by region, location, description or cost of rent. If you see a ThereHouse listed that you are interested in, click Visit to teleport to its location in-world. It is a good idea to check out The house and its location before you rent it.
When you visit a ThereHouse location you will teleport to the outside of the front door. You will need to click on the action tag on the door to enter the ThereHouse. Once inside, if it feels like home, on your toolbar click This Place>Info about “For Rent”. The House Detail Page will appear. Click Rent It to begin the rental process.
After you have gone through the rental process you can change the details and permissions and begin decorating. When you are done decorating create an event and invite your friends over for a house warming party!
Celebrate PRIDE in There
Celebrate diversity and inclusion in the virtual world There.com during the month of June. PRIDE events are scheduled June 11th through the 17th. Search keyword PRIDE to sign up for LGBTQ+ events like cards, trivia, floatillas, cross country racing and more.

Magical Kingdom – Unleashed!
Here ye, here ye! The Thereian community is celebrating Magical Kingdom – Unleashed in the virtual world There.com May 12th through May 31st. It’s a mashup event of all of your favorite fairytales and storybook characters. Search the keyword Magical Kingdom on the Activities Page to find special events. Sign up for trivia, cross country racing, bay area boat system tours and much more! Magical Kingdom events are being added daily so check back during the week.
Choose from many different original designs listed in Auctions to decorate your home during the Magical Kingdom – Unleashed event. Build a castle or a fairytale cottage and host a tour of your storybook location.
Dress the part for Magical Kingdom – Unleashed! Our Designers have created so many different costumes it is hard to choose your favorite. Dress up as a princess, evil queen, dragon slayer or the court jester. Wear your costume during the themed event and stand out with your own creativity.
Sci-Fi Week in There.com
Get your geek on for an out of this world event happening April 30th through May 6th. Celebrate Science Fiction week with your friends in the virtual world There.com. Sign up for events during Sci-Fi week.

There Games Opening Ceremony & After-Party
It’s the event we’ve all been waiting for! Join the Thereian community in welcoming back the official There Games to our virtual world There.com. Celebrate the start of the 10-day competitive events at tonight’s There Winter Games Opening Ceremony.
Join your teammates at the Winter There Games Village Colosseum at 6:00 PM Pacific/9:00 PM Eastern February 18th for the 2023 TWG Opening Ceremony. The Planning Committee will make the official announcements for the winter season and then the sixteen teams will embark on the annual torch run around the winter games statues.
The Kickoff Party is scheduled to start right after the torch run. Join your friends at 6:30 pm Pacific/9:30 pm Eastern to dance the night away and celebrate the return of There Games.
There Games competitive events begin on Sunday, February 19th and run through the 28th. The nametag color teams will compete for the gold, silver and bronze medals. Keep up on the score by visiting the official There Games scoreboard.
Everyone is invited to play and is already part of a team. The color of your name tag will tell you which team you’re on. There are sixteen name tag colors. If you are not quite sure where you belong, it’s easy to find out. Just head over to the Winter Games Welcome Center and use the handy nametag sign. When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your nametag is and also give you a link to join your team!
There will be at least twenty competitive events per day over the next 10 days. Visit the Activities Page and search the phrase TWG to locate all of the scheduled There Games events. Choose from quests, card games, races, adventures, challenges and round up events. Sign up ahead of time for the events that sound like fun and plan your schedule accordingly. Connect with other members of your nametag color to plan, strategize and execute your best play to win There Winter Games. Go teams!
