Issues With PayPal Auction Purchases

What happens when I try to use the PayPal option to make an Auction purchase?
When a member clicks the PayPal button it takes them to the pop-up PayPal login as expected. The next pop-up window should be the item transaction page where the member agrees to the exact amount of the purchase. Currently, members are being taken directly to their dashboard page or to a PayPal error page.
Can I send There money directly from my PayPal account to buy the Auction item?
NO, please do not send money directly to our company. Our system is not currently set up to process direct payments of Auction items from members. For example, if you try to send a payment to Feedback@thereinc.com we will not receive it because we do not have a PayPal account set up with that email address.
Oops, I sent a direct payment to a There email address. How can I get my money back?
There.com is unable to refund payments sent to an email address that is not hooked up to a PayPal account. You’ll need to contact PayPal directly and have them reverse the payment. Go to your PayPal Resolution Center. Click View next to the dispute you want to escalate. Click Escalate to PayPal at the bottom of the page. Add any relevant information for escalating the dispute and click Submit.
How long will it take to get fixed?
At this point in time, we do not know how long it will take to get fixed. We are at the mercy of PayPal and they don’t make it easy for Developers to get help in these types of situations. If you want to help, contact PayPal and tell them you are unable to purchase There.com (Makena Technologies) Auction items. We are thinking the more help tickets that are opened on this issue the faster they might get to fixing it for us.
I really want to purchase this Auction item, what can I do?
Use the Therebucks option to make the purchase. If the Designer has the PayPal option only, unfortunately their items cannot be purchased at this time.
Can I still buy Therebucks with PayPal?
YES! Therebucks purchases are working correctly. You can purchase Therebucks with the alternative payment system Stripe.
Will my monthly Premium Membership payment still deduct from Paypal?
YES! Memberships processed through PayPal are still working as they should.

Therebucks Payment Processing Options
Therebucks are the currency used in the Virtual World There. The conversion rate between Therebucks and US dollars is 1,800T = US $1.00. Therebucks can be used to buy virtual goods like clothing, cars and dream homes in the There Shop and from Designers in the Auctions. They can be purchased on the Buy More Therebucks page on There Central.
There.com offers two payment processing options for Thereians to purchase Therebucks. The minimum purchase is $5 and the maximum purchase is $150.
1) STRIPE a debit or credit card payment processor.
2) PayPal an electronic online payment system.
To purchase Therebucks using the Stripe platform…
Go to the Buy More Therebucks page.
Enter the US dollar amount you would like to purchase.
Click the Buy Now button.
Click the payment processor logo on the right. (Non-PayPal logo)
At the next page, click the same logo again.
The Stripe There.com Payment Portal will appear.
Enter your Email.
Enter your debit or credit card number.
Enter the MM/YY and CVC.
Click on the Pay US dollar amount.
To purchase Therebucks using the PayPal platform…
Go to the Buy More Therebucks page.
Enter the US dollar amount you would like to purchase.
Click the Buy Now button.
Click the PayPal logo on the left.
The PayPal Portal will appear.
Enter your information to process the payment.
Please note it will take up to 10-15 minutes for your Therebucks purchase to be reflected in your balance. You can check your Therebucks balance in your Transaction History.
**There.com is currently experiencing issues with processing PayPal transactions as of 10/4/19. We are working with PayPal to resolve the situation. We expect PayPal services to be back up and running very soon. In the meantime, please use Stripe as a payment service alternative for purchasing Therebucks. Monthly subscriptions are available through PayPal. We no longer process credit cards directly, but take all payments via PayPal. Your PayPal account must have a validated mailing address and be linked to a reliable backup funding source (generally, a credit card) before you will be able to initiate your monthly subscription. To start your new monthly subscription to There, go to www.there.com to create an avatar. You can download the latest version of the client here. When you go to login, a subscription link will be made available for you to connect your PayPal account. Your monthly subscription will automatically be deducted from your PayPal account each month. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

During the second weekend of every month, There offers Free There Weekends (FTW) to new and returning members. Yes, it’s absolutely FREE to play! FTW starts at 6:00 PM Pacific time on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific time on Sunday.
