2015 Summer There Games Are Right Around the Corner!
Summer There Games (STG) is a huge 10-day series of competitive events in There that runs from August 28th through September 6th. Everyone is invited to play in this fun and friendly competition!
There are sixteen Nametag color teams that will compete against each other to conquer the 2015 Summer Games Gold medal. Events happen at all hours of the day and range from round-ups to racing to card games and so much more!
Everyone is invited to play and is already part of a Nametag color team. The color of your Nametag team will tell you which team you are on. If you’re not sure which team you are on, head over to the Summer Games Welcome Center and use the handy Nametag sign. When you click the sign’s action tag it will tell you what team you are on. Once you know your team, sign up for your Nametag Color Club in order to receive invites and keep up with your teammates through the group IM chat.
Keep track of the daily points your color team earns by checking the official There Games Scoreboard. You can easily find and sign up for TSG events by clicking on the “Day” listed at the top of the Scoreboard. Day 1 through Day 10 will display the different events scheduled for each day.
The There Games Opening and Closing ceremonies will be held at the Summer There Games Island.

Closing Ceremony: Sunday, September 6th 2:00 Pm PT/5:00 PM ET

Island Games Start Tonight!
There has been an overwhelming number of Thereians who have signed up for the Island Games! Several old There members have returned to catch up with friends and participate in the events!
Celebrate the start of the Island Games with a Kick Off Party hosted by Club99! Find and connect with other Island team members at the Team Round Up event following the party.
Keep track of your team’s score with the official Island Games Scoreboard. Browse the Island Games Events and sign up to participate in earning points for your team.

Join your fellow Thereians for a fantastic new competitive event in There! Five Island teams will go head to head to score points to be crowned the winner of Island Games.
To get started to you need to be on an Island team! Register to be randomly selected to be added to team Ootay, Tyr, Caldera, Saja or Comet. The deadline to register is August 9th at noon Eastern time. If you missed the deadline, click here for more details on how you can still participate in Island Games.
Sign up for the invite group and participate in Island Games Events starting August 13th and running through August 17th.

Summer There Games Islands Open House
We’ve overhauled the Summer There Games Neighborhood! Come check out the newest upgrades the islands have to offer. We would like to invite you and your friends to an open house to tour the new buildings. coliseum, museum, statues & more!
Summer There Games Welcome Center
Start your tour out at the new Welcome Center where you can find information about the upcoming Summer Games. The new 2015 Summer merchandise is also on display! Pick up a poster, banner or flag to place in your own home or Neighborhood to help promote the Games. You can try on and purchase There Games clothing directly from our fashionable mannequins.
We’ve set up a Summer There Games Museum honoring clothing and merchandise from previous years. Don’t miss the one-of-a-kind winner’s platforms created for the very first Games event. Let us know if we are missing any Summer Games historical items that should be present in the Museum. Special thanks to Orielle for helping us track down most of the items on display.
Summer There Games Museum
Up on the Grassy Knoll, Club99 has set up a grand stage for the opening and closing ceremonies. They will provide music and dancing in celebration of the Summer There Games.

With help from the community, we were able to track down and restore the Summer There Games statues to their prior glory. They now have a permanent home for everyone to admire and enjoy.
The Nametag Team Hangouts introduced at the Winter There Games were so popular with the members we decided to bring the over to the Summer Hood too! The Summer Games Islands are now home to sixteen new Lots with open hosting rights. We’ve created one for each nametag color to use as a hangout during the STG events. Find your team hangout and start decorating!
There are two new Lots dedicated to table games in There. Summer Cards is available for open hosting during the Games and at other times. We also have set up several cracked tables over at Cracked Events. Pick up a brochure to find out how you can host at both Lots.
Host your own Cracked There Games Event!
If you are interested in hosting a There Games event, but not sure where to hold it at, there are two wonderful options in the Summer There Games Islands Neighborhood. If you are looking for a large grassy area, the There Games Park is available for open hosting. We also have Tiki Beach a waterfront Lot that is available as well. Contact PrincessPebbie if you would like to host an event during There Games.

Calling All Event Hosts for the Summer There Games
Believe it or not, the next There Games is right around the corner! Are you ready to take it to the next level and step up to be a There Games Host this year? If you’re up for the challenge to organize and execute a highly populated event in the virtual world There, we want to hear from you!
There are so many fun types of events scheduled during the There Games. If you have an interest in cards, bingo, racing, paintball, socializing, underwater basket weaving or a creative idea for a new game where Thereians can earn points for their color team, you should be an event host! We need fun, creative, patient, responsible and friendly people like you to host unforgettable events that will be the talk of the Games.
If you are considering Event Hosting for the first time during There Games, there are plenty of seasoned hosts who are available to offer ideas, advice and help with setting up your events. They can provide tips and pointers for making your event go smoothly.
Perhaps you just want to get your feet wet as an Event Co-Host? Behind every great captain is an outstanding first-mate! Co-Hosts are needed for this Summer There Games as well.

Stars of the West – Shootout Event
Saddle up your horses and ride down to Aurora Gulch for an old fashioned showdown with the Stars of the West! It’s going to get dusty with the stampeede of avatars expected to show up for tonight’s event. Make sure to sign up early.
There’s so much to do during this two hour western event! Grab your trusty steed and race other cowboys, avoid a deadly bite at rattle snake round up, dosey doe with your partner at the saloon, show off your marksmanship in a good old fashioned shoot out, toss around a hot horseshoe, sing hymns at church and hope you don’t land in jail for the night. These great events and much more planned for your enjoyment.
Don’t miss out on one of the greatest events in the West! Tons of goodies and prizes will be given out and awarded. The Phoenix Stars and friends have worked hard to put together a great night for all of us to enjoy. Yee-haw!
Space, the Final Camp-A-Palooza Frontier!
It’s the final and fourth week of Camp-A-Palooza and the campers have gone to new heights to explore beyond the wilderness of There!
Bring your sky deck and Hoverpack to set up your own campsite in Space. A few generous campers have dropped additional sky decks for those of us to use who don’t have a lot of experience building in Space. Camping events will continue this week with Bigfoot Quests, campfire stories and Bigfoot Family Photos.
Earn camp badges for participating in the camp out each week! There are a total of seven badges to collect. Earn three badges to participate in the final Camp Challenge and collect any six badges to be eligible for a special prize. Once you have pitched your tent at the last location, you will want to add your campsite to the Camp-A-Palooza Camper Badges Sheet.
The search for Bigfoot continues! Make sure to capture his photograph and post it to the Thereian Community Facebook Page to be entered into a drawing. The more locations you find him in, the better your chances at winning the Bigfoot drawing. Make sure your photo captures his name tag and avatar.
Camp-A-Palooza – Week Three
Join your fellow campers for week three of Camp-A-Palooza over at Camp Pineapple Forest! Nestled along the outskirts of Island Tours, the new camp is set under the trees where a gentle fog blankets the campsites. It’s a little chilly, but folks are keeping warm near the campfires and BBQ pits.
Join the hunt for Bigfoot, attend a sunrise social or share scary stories over the campfire! There’s lots of camping activities going on this week. Sign up for something that suits your schedule.
Earn camp badges for participating in the camp out each week! There are a total of seven badges to collect. Week Two of Camp-A-Palooza – Hike to Camp!
Everyone’s been having a blast singing campfire songs, playing games and chasing Big Foot over at Camp Nada during the first week of Camp-A-Palooza in There. A group of around sixty Thereians pitched tents, parked their campers and set up campfires around a central camp area on the island of Nada.

Camp-A-Palooza continues this week with a Hike to Camp event! Camp Counselors have scouted the second location and will lead happy campers out to the site to spend the next week in the virtual wilderness. Grab your hiking boots or Super Bunnies, (whichever you prefer) and join the gang for a fun adventure! Prime camping spots will go quickly so stake your claim with a PAZ and camping gear.
