Thursdays just got a whole lot more colorful in There.com!

Introducing FREE Paintball Thursdays, a new weekly event featuring nine hours of FREE unlimited paintballs. Grab your favorite paintgun, round up your friends, and start blasting because during the free hours, you can shoot as much as you want without using your purchased refills. The fun starts this Thursday, September 3rd.

FREE Paintball Thursday Hours

Every Thursday:

Eastern Time: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Mountain Time: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Pacific Time: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

How FREE Paintball Works

Participating couldn’t be easier. During FREE Paintball Thursdays, simply log into the Virtual World and take out your paintgun.

Normally, when your paintgun is out, a small blue Shots Left window appears in the upper-right corner of your screen showing how many paintballs you have remaining.

During FREE Paintball Thursdays, that window will instead display:

FREE
∞

If you see FREE and the red infinity symbol, you’re ready to go!

There is nothing to activate, nothing to purchase, and no special refill you need to claim.

Just take out your paintgun, point, and shoot!

IMPORTANT: Do NOT Purchase Refills During the Free Hours

FREE Paintball Thursdays provide unlimited ammunition automatically. You do not need to purchase paintball refills.

Purchasing a refill is a separate transaction and will still cost 200T per refill, even during FREE Paintball Thursdays.

During the free hours:

DO NOT go to My Things > Paintgun > Reload and purchase a refill.
DO NOT use your paintgun’s Action Tag > Refill option.
DO simply take out your paintgun, make sure the Shots Left window displays FREE ∞, and start shooting!

If you purposely purchase a refill, you will be charged 200T for that refill. Staff will not provide refunds for paintball refills purchased during the nine free hours on Thursdays.

Any refills you purchase are still yours and can be used during regular paintball hours.

So remember:

FREE ∞ = POINT AND SHOOT! No refill purchase necessary.

Host a FREE Paintball Thursday Event!

We encourage members to get in on the action by hosting their own paintball events during FREE Paintball Thursdays. Sign up for Paintball Events on the Activities page.

Schedule a match, challenge your friends, organize teams, or just get everyone together for nine hours of unlimited paintball mayhem!

Want Your Own Paintball FunZone?

Orion’s Perch, located on Cangrejo Island, is currently available to rent for 35,000T per month.

Simply visit the FunZone, click This Place, and rent it to make it your own.

Level Up Your Sharpshooter Skill

FREE Paintball Thursdays are also a great opportunity to work on your Sharpshooter Skill without worrying about running out of ammo.

Whenever you hit something with your paintgun whether it’s another Avatar or a target, you’re building your Sharpshooter Skill.

There are five Sharpshooter achievement levels:

Casual → Avid → Expert → Renowned → Legendary

Each time you level up, you’ll receive a fun gift. When you reach Legendary, you’ll also gain access to the Oro Lounge, a special location reserved for Legendary members.

Want to Skill Faster?

Distance matters! Try hitting targets or other players from as far away as you can while still being able to land your shots.

You don’t have to shoot other Avatars to build your skill, either. Targets count too. Put out some targets, move back as far as you can, and start firing.

You can also find a friend who wants to level their Sharpshooter Skill. Head to a Paintball Zone, move as far apart as possible while still being able to hit each other, and take turns blasting away.

Paintball activities with more members participating can make the experience even better, so FREE Paintball Thursdays are the perfect time to gather a crowd and shoot, shoot, shoot!

Paintball Ratings & Rankings

Want some competition?

You can earn a Paintball Rating by participating in an official Paintball event with two or more members in a FunZone equipped with a Paintball Course.

The first time you complete an official match, your rating will appear as a number in parentheses on your profile.

Everyone starts with a rating of 1200. From there, your rating can increase or decrease depending on your performance and the ratings of the players you’re competing against. Performing well against a highly rated opponent can give your rating an especially nice boost.

You can also check the Paintgun Rankings on the Activities page, where the day’s Top 50 Paintgun Players are displayed. Think you can get your name on the list? FREE Paintball Thursdays with unlimited ammo is a pretty good time to try!

Need a Paintgun?

Paintguns are available in Shop Central under the Playthings category.

Choose from two types:

Basic Paintgun
The classic blaster. Grab one, head to a Paintball Arena, and start covering your friends in paint.

Tommygun
Looking for a little more paintball power? Grab a Tommygun and splatter the competition in style.

Don’t have another Avatar around to practice with? No problem! Paintball Targets are available in Shop Central. Look for the Bulls-Eye Target, designed especially for paintball practice. These targets will fall over when you successfully hit them with a paintgun, but stay standing if bumped by an Avatar or buggy.

Drop a few targets, back up as far as you can while still landing your shots, and start working on that Sharpshooter Skill. With unlimited ammo during FREE Paintball Thursdays, it’s the perfect time to practice your aim!
