Find out what’s going on in There.com and how you can be a part of it! Weekly and monthly planned themed events are happening all throughout There. Visit the one-stop location for all the latest information on upcoming events. Teleport over to the new There Themes and Events HUB.
At the new location, you will find information on current events and upcoming themes. Try your hand at hosting a themed event. There are billboards on display that provide the name of the Event Coordinator and a keyword for the next upcoming events. You can also participate as a Developer and create new virtual items to sell for special events.

Weekly Themed Planning Meetings are held every Tuesday evening. Sign up for the next meeting and share your ideas for themed events or sign up to host creative and fun events for Thereians to enjoy.
Bay Area Boat System’s 12th Anniversary

The Bay Area Boat System (B.A.B.S.) club celebrates its 12th anniversary in There this month! To honor this celebration the B.A.B.S. group is holding special anniversary events September 15th through the 19th.
The B.A.B.S. group supports a network of large landing towers and outposts throughout There. The towers allow big groups of guided hoverboat tours to easily island hop from one location to the next. B.A.B.S.throws regular events and everyone is invited. You can pilot your own hoverboat or relax and enjoy the scenic view from the passenger seat.
The B.A.B.S. group was founded on September 23, 2004 by Thereian LossAngeles. It holds over 500 members and hosts regular events in There. The B.A.B.S.group is so extensive, it has three sub-groups consisting of the B.A.B.S.Flight Captains, B.A.B.S.Host Captains and the B.A.B.S.Outpost Community.
Don’t miss the big anniversary party on Monday, September 19th and the fun events leading up to it. B.A.B.S. has quests, bingo and cross-country racing and other exciting events planned for the celebration.
Last Day of Summer There Games!
Today marks the last day of competitive events for the Summer There Games season! Log on and get in-world to help earn those last minute points for your team.

There are several Quests still going! Gather your team members and help each other out. You can find other team members online by joining your Name Tag Color Team group and opening the in-world IM.
TSG Butterfly and Rebus Quests
TWO different TSG quests start in the Shorah Pavilion. Finish one or both of these quests by Sun Aug 28th to earn a point for your team. Quests are scored separately.
TSG Mascot Hunt & Quests Day 10
Come search for today’s location of the There Games butterfly. Save the location and tell your team members about it to earn as many points possible for your name tag color. Group photos are encouraged.
This is a 24-hour quest. Make sure to read the rules at the event.
Other events for the last day of There Games include TSG Skeeball hosted by Orielle at the Rain Forest Plateau starting at 1:30 PM PST and TSG Avie Golf which includes shooting the ball (avie) around the course with paintguns hosted by Susanszy starting at 4:00 PM PST.
Join us on Monday, August 29th at 6:00 PM PST for the Summer There Games Closing Ceremony.
Summer There Games Opening Ceremonies
The There Games Opening Ceremonies kicked off the start of the 2016 summer season! Thanks to all of our competitors for attending. We look forward to your participation in the Summer Games. Competitive events start Friday, August 19th. Check out the Official Scoreboard and sign up ahead of time for daily events.

Women’s Summer There Games Apparel

Whether you want to go with a traditional toga or represent your color team with a sweet track suit or cheerleader uniform, there are many styles to choose from. Try on a couple of outfits for free and see which one you like best!

Summer There Games 2016
Summer There Games (TSG) is a huge 10-day series of competitive events in There that runs from August 19th through August 28th. Everyone is invited to play in this fun and friendly competition!
There are sixteen Name Tag Color teams that will compete against each other to conquer the 2016 Summer Games Gold medal. Events happen at all hours of the day and range from round-ups to racing to card games and so much more!
Everyone is invited to play and is already part of a Name Tag Color Team. The color of your Name Tag team will tell you which team you are on. If you’re not sure which team you are on, head over to the Summer Games Welcome Center and use the handy Name Tag sign. When you click the sign’s action tag it will tell you what team you are on. Once you know your team, sign up for your Name Tag Color Club in order to receive invites and keep up with your teammates through the group IM chat.
Keep track of the daily points your color team earns by checking the official There Games Scoreboard. You can easily find and sign up for TSG events by clicking on the “Day” listed at the top of the Scoreboard. Day 1 through Day 10 will display the different events scheduled for each day.
The There Games Opening and Closing ceremonies will be held at the Summer There Games Island.
Opening Ceremony: Thursday, August 18th
There Games Competition: August 19th through August 28th
Closing Ceremony: Monday, August 29th

Call For Summer Games Event Hosts
The There Games are hailed as one of the largest crowd-drawing events in There.com. The foundation of the Games is the creative, fun and competitive events dreamed up and put on by friendly There Games event Hosts and Co-Hosts. Each year There Games competitors look forward to the unique types of events offered by each Host. There are all kinds of competitors with different interests, skill levels and abilities who seek out events like card games, vehicle races, costume parties, round-ups, underwater basket weaving and tons of other types of rewarding events. In order to have a successful There Games we need Event Hosts and Co-Hosts who are fired up and ready to put on fun and fantastic events for the competitors. We are putting out a call to all past, present and future Hosts to sign up to host a There Games event this summer season.
If you are a seasoned Host or still climbing up the Event Host skill ladder, we’d love to have your participation in the upcoming Summer There Games. The Host Coordinators have a lot of great documents and information about Hosting events in There to share with you. There is a weekly meeting for There Games Event Hosts where you can get advice and support on how to set up and manage your event. They can help you get your events listed in the Official Scoreboard and help you figure out how you would like to score your event. The Host Coordinators have come up with a helpful document for Event Hosts to learn about new and creative ways to score There Games events.
If you’re interested in hosting a Summer There Games event, sign up for the There Games Hosting Group to stay in contact with other Hosts and receive updates about important Host information. The weekly Host Meetings are held at There Games Park. The meetings are an hour-long and you can discuss your ideas and get feedback from other Hosts. Attending the meetings are not required, but they can be really helpful. If you’re interested in hosting and can’t stop by a meeting, you can contact the Host Coordinators directly by ThereMail. The Host Coordinators for the 2016 Summer There Games are B_A_B_S & fatjohn. You can reach out to them if you have any questions.

Island Games After Party
The second annual There Island Games was a blast! Thank you to everyone who participated as a competitor. Special thanks goes out to all of the coordinators and event hosts who dedicated their time and efforts into making this such a fun and successful event.

To participate, you’ll need to do the following:
1. Capture a photo of a BABS flight captain, host captain, outpost tower owner, outpost tower, event or tour, you with your favorite hoverboat, your name on a boat track at Skidmark Speedway, you racing your hoverboat at Skidmark Speedway, the BABS Club House or an unfortunate boating accident.
2. Submit your avatar name and photo(s) via email to photos@babscommunity.com.
3. Attend the wrap-up party and see if you’ve won a prize!

YeeHAW! Hop on the hoverboat hayride and tour the countryside with friends! Bring your overalls and cowboy hats.
The idea is to take pictures with any BABS Flight Captain, Host Captain, Outpost owner or capture photos of any BABS outpost tower, BABS event or tour to qualify for entry into a random chance selected reward. Prizes will be awarded at the Celebration in Pictures wrap-up party event to be held Thursday, October 16th at 7:00 PM Eastern/10:00 PM Pacific at the BABS Club House.
Circus of the Stars
The Phoenix Stars are hosting a fantastic Circus of the Stars event for the Thereian Community on Saturday night. Grab your friends and head on down to Tropical Adventures for a fun night under the big top!
The festivities start at 5:00 PM PDT/8:00 PM EDT! Club99 will kick off the event with some great tunes located at the main entrance. Here you will find the Avie Cannon which shoots your avatar off into oblivion or you can choose something more mellow and have your fortune read by Stella the Fortuneteller. Test your knowledge and join the Circus Tropical Trivia Fun event at the main theater. There will be tight rope walking, a dunk tank and kiss a clown booth over at Tree Frog Park. Be sure not to miss the Bozo’s Balls on Fire event where you have a chance to win a special Circus of the Stars buggy!
In addition to the carnival rides and spectacular events planned for the evening, this is your opportunity to come out and meet the Phoenix Stars! Who are the Phoenix Stars? They are a group of dedicated Thereians who assist and welcome new members to our community. They help facilitate the new member experience and show new folks all the great and wonderful things our awesome virtual world has to offer. With the recent Free Basic Trial option there are lots of new folks entering There. Free Trials do not have the ability to communicate with other members, but they are able to talk and interact with Phoenix Stars! You may have come across a new member in-world and have wanted to help them out, but weren’t able to communicate with them. The Circus of the Stars event is a great way to meet Phoenix Stars and add them to your buddy list so that you can call on them in the future to help with new members!
